SERVING THE CONSTITUENTS OF KONA AND HAWAI'I ISLAND
My focus has been, and will continue to be on projects that have a direct community benefit:
•  Infrastructure/Concurrency
•  Kealakehe Waste Water Treatment Plant
•  Shoreline Park at Kohanaiki
•  Beach Park at O’oma
•  Kealakehe Regional Park
•  West Hawai‘i Community College
•  West Hawai‘i Judiciary Complex
•  Ane Keohokalole Highway
We need to support our workforce, create jobs and help build a sustainable economy. As Kona continues to grow, I will support those projects that meet our community's needs, uphold the Community Development Plan (CDP), and contribute to smart growth.

My initiatives have focused on infrastructure projects in West Hawai'i and I have been working closely with the administration on parks, roads, and the upgrade to the Kealakehe Waste Water Treatment Plant.

I am currently working with the Planning Department to find ways to finance the infrastructure needs and currency requirements for implementation of the Kona Community Development Plan (CDP).
Many of the improvements that have been brought to District 8 have come about through partnerships and cooperation.

I will work to see these projects to completion and continue to carry on the work that is best for our community and our island home.
I will continue to:
• Listen to the will of the Community
• Work with other Council members
• Work with the Administration
• Have a respectful, cooperative spirit
I have a deep respect for our multi-cultural diversity and want to help build a caring and respectful society.

Hawai'i's rich cultural tapestry is one of our greatest treasures, and we need to care for and nurture it like any other precious resource.

ABOUT ME

It has been an honor and privilege to serve on the Hawai'i County Council representing North Kona, District 8, and the people of Hawai'i Island for the last four years.

For the 2016 election, I humbly ask for your support again, as I seek re-election to continue my service.

We have much to be proud of these last two terms, but there are many critical issues ahead, and still much to be done.
